Take Off Roll:
  • Capt to position thrust lever to ~1.10EPR
  • Once engines stable, TOGA button push; Start Timer
  • ~65kts, FMA >> HOLD | TOGA | TOGA
  • PM: "80kts"; PF: "Checked"
  • PM: "V1"; PF: Both hand on control
  • PM: "ROTATE"; PF: Start rotation @ ~2.5deg/sec to NUP ~15deg (~5sec)
  • PF: '+'ve rate, IVSI indicated climb, "GEAR UP"
  • ~400ft, FMA >> THR | LNAV | VNAV SPD
  • Retract Flaps on schedule; Flaps 5, Gear lever >> OFF
  • Make sure CLB thrust after Flaps up
"AFTER TAKEOFF CHECKLIST"
  • Landing lights >> Outbound OFF
  • Taxi light >> OFF
  • Gear Lever >> OFF
  • Flaps lever >> UP
  • PACKS >> NORM
  • AFT CARGO HEAT >> ON
Climb Speed (KIAS / Mach)
  • Normal : 340 / 0.85
  • Max ANGLE : V2 + 100 / 0.80 ((Vref30 + 80) + 20); Climb steeper
  • Max RATE : V2 + 140 / 0.82 ((Vref30 + 80) + 60); Climb further
Approaching 10,000ft:
  • AFT CARGO HEAT >> Check ON
  • Landing lights >> all OFF
  • Logo light >> OFF
  • WX >> TERR to WX above MSA
  • Radio >> Listening watch on 121.5
Transition ALT:
  • STD >> Altimeters SET and X-Checked; PF: "Passing FL___ now", PM: "Checked"
  • "FL200", "FL300", "FL 400", "1000 to go" (monitor closely, do not do anything else)
  • Setp Climb not exceeding FL by 150ft
  • Changing FL:
  • >> CLIMB: MCP ALT Set and Push once
  • >> DESCEND : VNAV Page set lower CRZ ALT, MCP Set
Turbulence Penetration:
  • Spd intervention >> 0.82-0.84 / 290-310
  • PAX Signs >> ON
  • CON IGN >> ON
  • ANTI-ICE >> +10degC (TAT) to -40degC (SAT)
