Final Preparation In Cockpit:
  • STATUS page:
  • >> Confirm all relevant MEL has/have been consulted
  • FMS:
  • >> INIT REF - GPS position selected and confirmed, NAV Database not expired
  • >> ROUTE - Key in; Activate, Execute
  • >> ARR/DEP - Select SID; Select CFP STAR if destination is near
  • >> LEGS - Check no discontinuity; plan mode step through, check and brief SID
  • >> NAV/RAD - Check AUTO tuning
  • >> FIX - Delete any fix from previous flight; Enter any fix if needed
  • >> INIT REF - CFP ZFW, Fuel reserve, Cost Index 50, Planned CRZ ALT, STEP SIZE, NAPD 1 (F20-3000'/1000'/1500') or 2 (F20-1000'/1000'/F5)
  • EFIS:
  • >> DH/MDA - Set departing aerodrome ILS
  • >> QNH - Set
  • >> VORs - selected
  • >> MAP mode - Selected
  • >> Range - As required
  • >> TFC - Activated
Contact GND crew:
  • "Cockpit to GND, confirm main gear pins removed, nose gear steering pin in, ready to pressurize HYD"
  • HYD AUX#4 >> ON; Parking brake accum charged up
  • FUEL >> Pumps ON; Centre Wing tank > 7700kg ; Tank 2/3 >= Tank 1/4 quantity + 455kg (each) else FUEL TANK/ENG EICAS Msg

  • "The PM shall call out any malfunction or warning during take-off. If any malfunction occurs before V1, I will call STOP or GO. Before V1, I will reject take off for Engine Failure, any warning or any condition that significantly affect the safety of the flight. Before 80kts, I will also reject the take off for the Master Caution"
